Our Philosophy and Objectives
Our Mission
A small computer service and consulting company based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA, ExperiSys was conceived out of the realization that most small businesses and organizations are increasingly dependent on computer technology for their everyday business success. However, most do not have the technical support resources, skills and experience to assure reliable operation of their systems. Advances in computer technology over recent years accompanied by the dramatic reduction in the cost of computer hardware relative to performance has resulted in these businesses and organizations being able to purchase advanced computer systems to help them perform administrative and critical business functions. In many ways, their current systems are as sophisticated and critical to their business success as some mainframe-based corporate systems of a few years ago.
The mission of ExperiSys is to provide appropriate technical services and guidance to small businesses and organizations in a responsible and economical way. With over 32 years of Information Technology systems, technical and management experience with successful, growing corporations as well as 6 years assisting small businesses and organizations with their IT needs, we are very capable of assisting with computer technology issues ranging from everyday problems to strategic business decisions. For larger or very sophisticated projects, we are able to draw on a network of proven vendors, service companies and trusted associates to assist our customers.
New Technology Strategy
ExperiSys does not promote upgrading to new technology just because it's new, or "cool", or the "latest thing." Most companies, particularly small businesses, should avoid leading edge (sometimes referred to as "bleeding edge") technology unless the implementation promises a significant business advantage. Even then, the process should be preceded by serious research and planning as well as the involvement of experienced technology professionals. In fact, every technology addition that a business makes results in extra costs in terms of support, maintenance, training, etc., over and above the purchase price . Many small businesses and organizations are surprised by just how much that extra cost can become.
On the other hand, ExperiSys does promote keeping technology current with relatively new, but proven, computer hardware and software. Additionally, the timely application of software updates and patches as well as performance of routine software and hardware maintenance can prevent many serious problems. Computer users in small businesses and organizations who have no IT staff to support them frequently do not perform these functions, not because they are unwilling but rather because they simply do not know what to do and how to do it. It is also frequently a problem in small businesses and organizations that computer users are so busy that they believe they cannot take the time necessary to perform these functions. Therefore, the objective of ExperiSys is to not only perform these functions for them but also to teach them, when possible, how and when to perform the operations for themselves.
Customer Support Policy
Last, but certainly not least, ExperiSys strives to serve our customers with integrity and a real concern for their ability to effectively use their computer systems for the benefit of their business or organization.
Brief History
Although the philosophy behind ExperiSys was conceived long before, ExperiSys was formed in January, 2002, as an Oklahoma Limited Liability Company. The founder, Dan R. Neale, was the Director of IT at Louis Dreyfus Natural Gas Corporation at the time and had held that position for slightly over eight years. LDNG was then the fourth largest independent natural gas producer in the United States and had grown dramatically during that eight years. Prior to holding this position, Mr. Neale successfully held a number of other IT management and technical positions in the Oil and Gas Industry for 22 years.
